It’s the end of the school year and time to figure out where to take the kids for the end-of-the-year, straight A’s reward dinner. Yes, that’s right. My kids (age 11 and 13) want to be taken to fancy restaurants as the reward for getting good grades. The kind of restaurant where they are the only kids in the whole place. That’s odd you say? I say, good training mom! I’d much rather go to a fabulous restaurant and have an amazing dinner than stand in long lines at some amusement park! We’re open to suggestions!
Last year, we took them to The Bazaar. Chef José Andrés’ restaurant in the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. He features a Traditional menu and a Modern Menu. The Traditional menu has deliciously prepared versions of some classic Spanish tapas. The Modern menu features some mind-blowing tapas that transform common food like olives and Philly cheesesteak into food adventures with just the right amount of creative molecular gastronomy. His food is truly inspiring.
