We love this spicy grilled shrimp. Packed with flavour with a great smokiness created by chipotle peppers and smoked paprika.
Ingredients
1/4 cup smoked sweet paprika
2 minced chipotle peppers (chipotle in adobo) plus 1 tablespoon of the sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons ground cumin
3 tablespoons canola oil
2 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 pounds (21 to 24 count) large shrimp peeled
6 cloves coarsely chopped fresh garlic
1/2 cup thinly sliced green onion, divided
Preparation
Whisk together the paprika, chipotles, honey, cumin, garlic, canola oil, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Place shrimp in bowl and mix. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes up to 2 hours.
Heat your grill to high.
Grill shrimp for 2 minutes per side. Stir in half of the green onions to the shrimp and transfer to platter. Sprinkle the remaining green onions on top and serve.
